In the 2 hours lecture Archeologia, partecipazione e benessere: perché interagire con il passato può farci sentire meglio, Francesco Ripanti presented on public participation in archaeology, Italian community archaeology and introduced the operational workflow for the evaluation of participation in ongoing excavations, focusing on the case study of Uomini e Cose a Vignale. In the second part of the talk, he introduced the main area of archaeology and wellbeing and the LOGGIA project, presenting an outline of the activities and discussing the main opportunities and challenges.

Why
Invited by Prof Rachele Dubbini and the research team of the ECeC – Eredità Culturali e Comunità, this seminar was a very good opportunity to present LOGGIA to students (about 25) and researchers (about 10) from the University of Ferrara. Francesco received questions and remarks on a number of themes linked to the evaluation of public participation in archaeology, and archaeology and wellbeing.
